“Pray to Buddha to be lead to Paradise; your ancestor will be received by the Buddha and your descendants will be nourished with Amrita.”

Our parents give birth to us, nurtured us and brought us up; it is difficult to repay such kindness. Similarly, how are we to repay our parents from our previous lives as well as our ancestors’ kindness in giving birth to us and passing down the lineage.

Therefore, we need to pray for our ancestors for their good fortune and sincerely pray that Buddha protects them and set them free from samsara. With Buddha’s compassion and supernatural power leads them to the Eastern Paradise to enjoy eternal bliss, happiness and prosperity.

When we pray for our ancestors, we also benefit ourselves. When our ancestors are in the Buddha’s Paradise, we ourselves are not far from having a life full of wisdom and happiness. The lives of our family and descendants will be more smooth-going and lucky while we become more successful and without obstruction.

「求佛接引極樂界，祖宗得佛接引，甘露潤養子孫。」

我們的父母親生養我們、培育我們，大恩難報，而我們歷代的父母親、以及歷代祖宗也同樣對我們有生養與傳承之恩。

所以，我們要為我們的祖宗祈福，真誠地祈求佛陀保佑他們、解脫他們，借助佛陀的慈悲、法力接引他們解脫到東方極樂世界，讓他們獲得永恆的幸福、快樂、富貴。

為祖宗祈福，也能利益我們自己。當我們的祖宗被佛菩薩接引到極樂世界，那我們就離智慧、幸福的人生不遠了，我們的家庭、我們的子孫會更順利、更吉祥，我們的生命才會更圓滿無礙。
